Week 3: January 16 through January 22, 2012

Hi, all! It's time for my pictures of this, the third week of 2012. Hope you enjoy!

We started the week with Amy running a fever. She came home from daycare early. This is the thermometer we used to check her temp.

The next day, the fever continued but not as high. Here is the medicine we used. I've always had luck with ibuprofen.

On Wednesday, Amy was better and able to go back to school. It was back to just the dog and me.

Woo Hoo!! The Lebaron came home!!!

The next day we went here and filed a claim so we can get a refund! They lied to us!!

This is one of the truest statements I have ever heard!!!!

At Alyssa's Antique Depot.....the best antique store around!!!

That has been my week. It's back to the grind tomorrow. Have a good one and God bless!!!

Week 2: January 9 to January 15

Welcome to week 2 of 2012. It's been a pretty good week. I started working at home full time, and so far, I am really enjoying it. It's the best of both worlds. I am a full-time employee with benefits who gets to work at home and make pretty good money. It's wonderful!

First week of 2012

Hi and welcome to 2012: The Year of the Hart. Bill and I are expecting wonderful things this year. I started a new job making more money than I ever have in my life, and things are looking up! My step-daughter-in-law was talking about doing a project in which she would take one picture each day of 2012 to represent the day, and I thought it sounded fun and decided to try it as well. I thought it would be interesting at the end of the year to look back at each picture and see everything we experienced and how much we have grown and changed over the course of one year. What I decided to do was post a week's worth of pictures every Sunday so as not to overwhelm everyone with 365 (in this case, 366) posts representing each individual day. So here is how we spent the first week of 2012.

On the first day of 2012, we spent part of the day packing away the Christmas decorations and getting the house back to normal.

On January 2, 2012, I spent a lot of time thinking about my son Alex and how much he has matured over the last couple of years. January 2nd was his birthday, and he turned 16. He is becoming a fine young man, and I couldn't be prouder of him. Wasn't he an adorable baby?

The night of January 3, 2012 turned out to be very cold, so we decided to light a fire and some candles and just enjoy one another's company. Doesn't it look warm and inviting?

On January 4, 2012, I started a new job as an instructional designer at Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama. I never thought I would leave my previous company, but circumstances dictated differently. I am thoroughly enjoying working there so far. The people are wonderful, and the technology actually works!!!

On January 5, 2012, our Chrysler Lebaron decided that it was time to rid itself of quite of bit of oil. Isn't it just a lovely oil spot on our driveway? The next day, the Lebaron went into the shop.

On January 6, 2012, I had the pleasure of driving all the way to Orange Beach in this lovely fog. It kept getting worse the closer to work I got.

On January 7, Bill and I decided to go check out the newest model homes at Sanders. It never hurts to dream!! I particularly loved this one because of the arches.

Today, Pepboys told us our Lebaron was ready, so we went to pick it up to the tune of $910.00! Unfortunately, someone did not get the timing right, and we had to take it back. Now it looks like it won't be ready until tomorrow. So, as you can see, we have no money left and still no car!!!

And that was how the first week of 2012 treated us. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into our lives! See you next week!
